The Mayan Calendar ends the age on the 22nd of December 2012. Is this date relevant or is it just a date? If it is relevant, would there be signs to back it up? What would these signs be?
First let me show you something significant. The book of Revelation in the bible is the book of the end times and the return of Jesus Christ. If we look up chapter and verse of these Mayan numbers we get very significant matches to events.
If we take the month and day, written in the UK format of day then month, which gives us 22/12, we look up
Revelation 22:12 which says…Behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to render to every man according to what he has done.
This is very significant, for that is precisely the event that will happen at the end of the age. I don't know what the odds are of this number lining up are, but there's more!
The year 2012 if split into chapter and verse we get 20:12.
Revelation 20:12 says…And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne and books were opened; and another book was opened, which is the book of life; and the dead were judged from the things which were written in the books, according to their deeds.
While the actual judgement Scripture takes place after the 1000 year reign of Jesus Christ. It also takes place at the return of Christ, in that all who are going to have eternal life start their rule with Jesus on this day. The rest stay dead until the time of the final judgement which starts the second death for those who don't make it. But there is more to be revealed when other prophecy brings the calculation of the final 7 years.
The prophecy of the end times has
a 7 year peace treaty, which is broken in the middle of it. The great tribulation as none ever before on the earth takes part in the final 42 months of the those last 7 years. This will be the time when people either take the Mark of the Beast or are imprisoned and even put to death.It is also a time that God has prepared a place in the wilderness for sustenance and protection. As none will be able to buy or sell who does not have the mark of the beast, a place of refuge is needed far away from the activity of the beast. That is a place prepared by God for safety.
So we see the final 7 years broken into two parts of three and half years each. Which according to the biblical prophecy years, which have 360 days each, is 1260 days, which is also 42 months. And is also referred to as times time and half a time.
So we have the Mayan Date and we can calculate backwards and we get the middle and beginning date of the 7 year peace treaty. The two dates we get are…
11th June 2009 (11/7/2009) (Middle of week)
28th January 2006 (28/1/2006) (Beginning of week)

The middle of the week is when the beast breaks the peace treaty, and starts the great tribulation. Again we take the day and month and get 11 and 7. Revelation 11:7 says…
And when they have finished their testimony, the beast that comes up out of the abyss will make war with them, and overcome them and kill them.
This is very significant, as this event in the scripture is actually due at this time. The two witnesses in chapter 11 prophesy for 1260 days (3 1/2 Years). It sounds reasonable that they will start this at the beginning of the last 7 years peace, and that the beast taking over the final 42 months will defeat them at that time.
Again if we look at the year as chapter and verse
2009 we look at Revelation 20:9 which relates to an event after the 1000 year reign of Christ, but it is also an event which occurs at the return of Christ. Revelation 20:9 says…And they came up on the broad plain of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city, and fire came down from heaven and devoured them.
While this event doesn’t happen till the end of the age, this date signifies the start of the reign of the beast which leads up to it. But there is still more again with the beginning date of the 7 year peace treaty.

The peace treaty is a false peace. It seems sweet in the mouth, but bitter in the stomach. This is related in Revelation Chapter 10. For the peace treaty will mean that there is no longer any mystery for those who have seen the signs. Now the day and month formula we have been doing so far brings us to a variation. There are only 22 chapters in Revelation. 28 is too big. The tradition of simplifying the numbers is to add them together. So 2 + 8 = 10. This would give us Revelation 10:1 which starts of the events of the peace treaty in the vision.
This date is also the 20th anniversary of the first Space Shuttle disaster of Challenger in 1986.
If we take the year 2006, we get Revelation 20:6 which refers to the saints which trust in God through all these times. It says…
Blessed and holy is the one who has a part in the first resurrection; over these the second death has no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with Him for a thousand years.
The Peace Treaty is the confirmation of these things as being true and many will see and understand these things at that time. And many who have insight will give understanding to many. But the wicked will not understand. (Daniel 11:32-35 & Daniel 12:9-10)
The Two Witnesses of Revelation 11 have been said by many to be Moses and Elijah. However, perhaps these relate to two groups of people which have this one thing in common from Daniel 11:32b
"…but those who know their God will display strength and take action."Those from Israel and those from the gentiles who know their God will display strength and take action? These would see themselves in the prophecy and know that God will protect them. Many would see this and follow them in hypocrisy. To those with the pure faith and trust in God, the protection would be as described in Revelation 11:5. To those who didn’t truly have the trust and faith in God, but simply acted on an intellectual understanding, they would fall as described in Daniel 11:33-35.
