My Testimony - Inspiration of the Code

Firstly I came to the Lord and read the bible a lot, going to church twice on Sundays, and going to bible studies during the week. Something that came of interest to me was the end times and prophecies of Mark of the Beast with the number 666.

I first saw Barry R Smith, a travelling evangelist which specialised in end times prophecy information lining up with current world events, before I made an official commitment to God. He had much to say about end times, and had written a book called "Warning". The general belief amongst many Christians back then, around 1983,was that the end was going to come most probably within 10 years. The effects of such things not coming to pass has left many disappointed and others not willing to listen any more. But one thing is for sure, if it is true that it will come one day, then one day the warning will be correct. We can't make it happen any sooner than is in God's plan.

This code fascinated me. In hindsight I now know why, as you will too if you finish reading this ;-). As a youngster I had been into computers, teaching myself to program the TRS-80, from Tandy/Radio Shack, from books and inside the shop 2 years before I bought one at 15. When I was 20, I moved to Lismore, NSW, Australia where my mother and sister had moved to, and started going to church their at the Assemblies of God. One of the people in the church had a small printing company and my sister did some work delivering letterbox drops from time for him. At the time his business was not doing so well, and he had a lot on his plate with all that needed to be done, and he looked tired all of the time. So I said to him, I want to help out, what can I do? He said he couldn’t afford to hire anyone and that it was all under control. I persisted and said is there anything I can do. When I told him I used to have a computer, he said that he was working on a quoting program for his business on a Commodore 64 Computer, but he had gotten bogged down and not finished it. Besides, he said, he didn't really know what he was doing and learning from the book as he went.

So it was decided that I should look it over and see how it went. It just so happened I was living with his business partner, renting a room, and so he brought the computer home and I got stuck into it. A friend's younger brother had a Commodore 64, so I had an idea of what it could do, and knew the language was similar to what I was used to. Since computers had been a hobby to me, this was not really work, it was fun.

So I spent parts of the day on his program and other parts of the day fiddling and playing with the computer. I guess you could say it was my good will friendly payment. In the meantime I had turned 21. This was the first time I had had access to a computer since I had heard about Barry Smith's code, and I decided to put it into a program to make it easier to calculate.

So I became motivated to code the calculator to look at world leaders names. Part of the programming process was to allocated numbers to the letters. Since the computer already did this with the ASCII code (American Standard Characters for Information Interchange), I decided to use these. My goal was to get the variable to equal 1 to 26 for the letters as mentioned above in Barry's code. However in the ASCII code, the letter "A" had the value of 65. It was simple really, I just had to subtract 64 and all the alphabet lined up in order from 1 to 26. Next was simply to multiply them by 6. So in two small tasks it was done. All I had to do now was add them up and give a total.

One of the names I tried was John Paul which came to 582. I then out of impulse pressed the "2" key and it subtracted the value making it smaller, 498. I realised that the value it had subtracted, 84, was in fact the value that would have made it add up to 666 if it was added instead. The hairs on the back of my neck stood up. The pope was not a young man, and it seemed that if he was going to be the beast, so it would not be too far off.

I realised that we had more potential here with the use of numbers. For every character on the keyboard was also in the ASCII code. So as part of the formula they also obtained a value according to Smith's formula. The only difference was that if they were less than 65 in value in ASCII, they would give a negative number after the subtraction of 64. This meant they would subtract from the total value instead of adding to it. In programming and mathematics, there is a function called the ABSOLUTE value. This means that if a value is positive or negative, it gives the value as a positive. So I added this feature, so now all values were added, and it was complete.

A year later, there was the Chernobyl Nuclear accident, April 1986, and many were discussing whether it was the Third Trumpet of Revelation, with Wormwood making a third of the waters bitter. With a rumour saying that Chernobyl meant Wormwood. The end times was certainly seeming to be filled with signs.

A thought crossed my mind about the numbers used. 64 was needed to be subtracted from the ASCII value in order to get it to work. No other number would do it, only 64. I was born in 1964, and the computer was a Commodore 64. What are the odds of that I pondered. It seems God was showing me something here. I didn’t think I was the only one that would come up with this and expected to see it come forward one day by another.

A number associated with God is the number 7 and also 3. The Seal of God book, written by Payne, says 7 is God's seal and 6 is the number of man. If the number of man is 6 and the number of God is 7. Then the counterpart to 666 would be 777. Here we see 3 sevens which shows God's seal. Then it flashed through my mind that I was 21 at the time of writing this program. This is 3 times 7, or 7+7+7=21. The number 21 itself when numerically added to get one digit, as 2+1 also comes to 3.

It then occurred to me that my 3 names each has 7 letters. Raymond Michael O'Keeffe. Again 21. Was it just a coincidence or was there some higher purpose as a sign from God? As it turns out these were not the only numbers coinciding. (yes wait, there's more J )

If the number 666 is given the same variations as above, then 6+6+6=18. And 1+8=9 which appears as an upside down 6. If we go further and multiply them, 6 x 6 = 36, and again 3+6=9. If we multiply that instead, 3 x 6 = 18. And again 1+8=9.

If we go the full 3 sixes in multiplication we get 6 x 6 x 6 = 216, and again we get 2+1+6=9. Interestingly they all come back to 9. However if we multiply the final 216 out, 2 x 1 x 6 = 12, then 1+2=3, and alternatively, 1 x 2 = 2. The only thing we haven't done here is do the 66. 6+6=12, giving 1+2=3. And multiplied the ending of 1 x 2 = 2. So all in all there are patterns here of re-occurring numbers. (9, 3, 2)

Why all this? Well just to do it and see if there are any patterns. Just something I feel to do in the search for any more clues. The more one becomes familiar, the easier things stick out when there are things to stand out.

So we see God honours those who Love Him and keep His commandments. Those whose goals are to do God's will, are backed by God. And God's will is that none shall perish but all shall come to have eternal life through Jesus Christ, the only begotten son of God. God's will is that we not get bogged down with the wisdom and understanding of men, but seek His Wisdom and Understanding and His guidance, by walking by faith in all that we do in constant fellowship by the indwelling of His Holy Spirit.

Visual Basic allows for use of forms and input boxes, where as the Commodore 64 was all done on a scrolling screen. So I entered in a few names looking for any hints of 666 relating to world leaders. John Paul II was still the pope, and since the years gone by when I was 21, I have seen much written about the Catholic Churches atrocities in history and the Latin title of VICARIUS FILII DEI on his crown which adds up to 666 in Roman Numerals. But there is more than one beast in Revelation 13, and I wondered if perhaps they both had 666? Afterall the Mark of the Beast was to be either the name of the Beast number of his name, which is 666.

As it turned out this program was to develop into something more. In researching on the Internet, I didn’t find this exact calculator program. I did however find Barry Smith's code just using letters and not using the ASCII code, so they were missing out on this fascinating extra feature God has revealed. I saw on a web site about Judas Iscariot in the calculation, being too large, but when the word DEATH was subtracted it came to 666. This inspired me to add a subtraction box. So now the program had two identical boxes, each making their own calculation as previously done giving their own total, but now the option to subtract one from the other and give an overall total.

I pondered on going further with the program to allow for other things. And made it so that it would save all entries that came to the total of either 666 or 888. It occurred to me also that since Jesus = 444 and Messiah = 444 etc as listed above, that if I subtracted one from the other, I would get zero. So if one equalled the other then I would get zero as a result. So I made it so that zero totals were also saved in the database file.

It became apparent to me that God had created the languages, and these signs were embedded into the English Language and the Greek Language, and more than likely in many or every language, before the many languages were given to mankind at the tower of Babel when they were dispersed around the earth.

While there are those who say that this code is mine. It is not. It is simply a window showing what is already embedded below the surface of the language. Nothing is made up, it simply is there ready to be found when one looks deep enough. Seek and you shall find! J

Some more numbers. In writing the program once again in 2003 I was 39 years old. This is 18 years after I first wrote it at age 21. Note 6+6+6 = 18. As said before 666 is not always wicked but a tool or pointing "to be about" these things. These things need to be understood in such a way that one does not assume the wrong interpretation about these figures. This is done with the experimentation developing logic rules of this area of study.
